As my friend Lauren says…
If you’re gonna eat meat, don’t be a pussy.
Lauren’s a vegetarian. I’m not. I have been, periodically, and I don’t eat much meat anyway - mostly chicken, hardly ever beef. I gave up meat for Lent this year, which meant my family also gave up meat by default, since I’m the one who does virtually all the shopping and cooking.
Found this photoset from my husband’s blog, and had to post. Enjoy!
Anyone up for a bacon bar?

While I’m not a vegetarian, I’m very glad after viewing “This one’s good” that I don’t eat pork! Ugh.
I thought you might have a link to the bacon bra that Dooce linked to earlier in the week. But then again, that wasn’t so much about the bacon as the boobs.

bacon and chocolate together is surprisngly delicious. Although it shouldn’t be that surprising. Bacon and anything together are delicious. And Chocolate and anything together are delicious.
Also, this post kind of reminds me of the only Garfield cartoon I ever saw that made me laugh in which a leathery old waitress puts a plate of eggs in front of John at a diner and says “Here’s your eggs, hon. Try not to think about where they came from.”

Bacon and chocolate. Ew. And you know when a *pregnant* woman says “ew” to a salty-sweet food…
To be fair, though, it falls slightly lower on my gag-o-meter than the “d’oliva” bar — another of the same company’s offerings that combines white chocolate with dried, brined olives.

A burst of flavor and texture brings along intoxicating aromas of cardamom, effusive eucalyptus and citrus amongst the fruity, robust finish of Venezuelan dark chocolate.
