All I’m saying

Is that if we manage to be part of the group of people that are getting tax rebate checks from the guvmint, we sure as H-E-double-hockey-stick aren’t going to be spending it.

It’s going straight into a money market account.

That’s all I’m saying.

Stimulus plan, my ass.

The reason it will actually work, at least in the short term, is because most people will take it and buy flat screen TVs with it. Because who needs to save for the future? poppycock.

too bad its nothing more then a band-aid. Too bad they can’t address the actual problems that lead to economic downturn.

    Our government makes me sick.

So it is not going to the new iPhone?

my friend was reading that probably people will just use it to pay down their enormous credit card debt, and not even buy flat screen tvs. i know if we somehow got a rebate it would just go to pay off college loans.

i echo your “stimulus plan, my ass” sentiment.

I for one plan to take my tax rebate into the middle of the nearest mall and set it on fire, just to spite those buggers for trying to get me to spend more money.

    *sigh*

Okay, bloody unlikely, but it felt good to say it. I have medical bill collectors trying to reach through my phone and into my purse. Maybe if I buy *them* a flat screen TV…
