we were going to give up our microwave when we moved, but then there was one where we moved to. so we still use it for leftovers, but i always feel a bit lame to do so. someone pointed out that microwaves and cell phones are so recent, we don't really know their long term impact. scary!

this story has single handedly convinced me to Save up and buy a KitchenAid stand mixer. I'm convinced my hand held mixer is giving me tendonitis.

Well, this story, and the fact that I made creme brulee in my mother-in-law's stand mixer over the holiday, and it was just glorious.

So, there's a good chance I might have a 2 1/2 hour layover in San Fran January 4th right around lunchtime. Depending on you and Joshua's schedules, perhaps I can get a lunch escort?

Oh my gosh, it is gorgeous.... it makes me want more kitchen stuff (and my husband has banned more kithen stuff)!! I agree, the microwave (though we'll keep one in our pantry) is highly overrated.
