It’s not just the boys

I made pancakes for breakfast this morning for the family. I wanted to do something fun for Judah’s, so we pulled out the cookie cutters. i sprayed them with Pam and then carefully poured batter into them on the griddle. After about four or so tries, I learned that it’s way easier to just make a pancake and then use the cookie cutter to cut whatever it is out of the pancake. (1) The shape actually stays together that way and it’s WAY cleaner, and (2) cookie cutters get hot on a griddle, yo.

I made all of her pancakes pig-shaped. She’s really into Charlotte’s Web these days, although she calls it “Wilbur.” I think Wilbur is a total whiny little snot. It’s always, “I miss Fern,” I don’t want to die,” “Charlotte! Charlotte!” “For your information, Templeton,” and “I can’t stand it here!” Good Lord, he drives me crazy. So freaking selfish.

Regardless, Judah loves Wilbur. So I put her four pig pancakes on a plate and put a little syrup on the side for dipping. She exclaimed, “Wilbur!” and picking up each one in turn, promptly bit all their heads off.

Man, that felt good.
