We went to Pier 48 on Saturday to the 1906 Expo - marking the 100th anniversary of the earthquake and resulting fire that destroyed much of San Francisco. Firefighting teams from all over the country came to compete in events and brought their vintage fire equipment, including steam engines and horse-drawn carts. It was pretty fun, despite the rain we encountered. Judah’s favorite part, besides getting her own fire chief hat, was, of course, the horses.
