Saturday

After a very lazy morning, we took Judah to the beach. We packed some food and hopped on the 48 bus. About halfway there, the bus driver said “end of the line.” We got off, rather confused. Turns out the line only runs all the way to the beach during the week, not on the weekend. Thankfully, we were dropped right at a train line, which goes directly to the beach, so we hopped on the L line.

It was so COLD when we got to the beach! It would have been fine had it not been for the ferocious wind blowing a solid arctic blast across the water. Foam was skipping across the sand and hitting the dunes. We were determined to eat our lunch there, though. We found a place to sit on some concrete with our backs to the wind and ate our food while sand got in everything. We didn’t stick around long.

Some of the neighborhoods we went through were extremely nice. Big houses, with lots of space between them and their neighbors. There were amazing views from several of the hills. Yeah, we live in this city.

I think I’m about out of my jeans. They keep sliding down and I’m always having to pull them up. There’s too much in the way and my ever-expanding belly keeps pushing them down. I think it might be time to bust out the maternity clothes. *sigh*
