you’ve got to be kidding me…

Judge Suspended for Defying Court on Ten Commandments

Yeah, so this is the kind of thing that makes me smack myself on the forehead. We’ve got dozens of people sitting out there on the state’s capitol steps, all worked into a frenzy that the ten commandments have to be moved. Some will fight it even if it means they go to jail. Like i said, you’ve got to be kidding me.

it’s times like this i’m embarrased to be a Christian. to all of you sitting around on the capitol steps, i have a few questions for you? does it really make a difference whether a several thousand pound monument of the ten commandments is removed or not? does it change your faith in any way? I mean, come on. Really. As self-professed christians, wouldn’t your time be better spent somewhere else than rotting away on the capitol steps?

i mean, it’s not like they held a gun to this judge’s head and told him to deny Jesus. Now that would be something to get upset about. it’s like prayer before football games. Does it really matter if they pray before football games? like God favors one team over the other?

If issues like this somehow affect a person’s relationship with Jesus, then maybe that person has bigger issues to deal with, methinks. it’s piece of stone, people. it’s not like God lives inside of it. and if it is supposed to be removed, and all thse people are fighting to keep it, would that be considered coveting? just curious…
